Inspired by the client's passion for the retro-futurism of James Bond aesthetics and more specifically 007 villain iconography, Phantom Twilight evolves out of the classic SPECTRE symbol. Designed to be the focal point of an imagined 007 villain's lair, Phantom Twilight is an abstracted altarpiece crowning this wine tasting and private dining hall. This bespoke architectural gem, designed by architect Scott Hughes is located on a private luxury villa and eco farm in Umbria surrounded by vineyards, olive orchards and acres of wheat fields.
Appearing in a state of suspended animation Phantom Twilight is made of three distinct elements: one fiery ellipse, five shimmering and undulating forms and twin two-tone triangular satellites. The sculptural elements, which hang from the ceiling, form a glowing constellation and float in harmony, transforming this space into a dramatic and experiential venue.
